Referring physicians will receive a written report of testing results within one week following the patients visit. Phone consultation can be made with The Ohio State University Medical Center Department of Neurology during regular business hours. In addition, referring physicians may use the 24-hour physician-to-physician service, OSU ConsultLine, at any time by dialing 1-800-824-8236.
ØFOLLOW-UP
Neurologists at University Medical Center provide a comprehensive program of services for all disorders related to the nervous system and can provide specialized care for the patients with autonomic disorders. Specialty areas include the diagnosis and treatment of autonomic disorders, pain, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, movement disorders, neurological cancers, and neuromuscular diseases such as muscular dystrophy, Myasthenia Gravis and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (Lou Gehrigs disease).
ØRECONDITIONING PROGRAM
15-week reconditioning outpatient program is offered in collaboration with the OSU Center for Wellness and Prevention. This training is designed for the patients with autonomic disorders and includes general health assessment, supervised exercise, countermeasure for orthostatic intolerance, diet regime, relaxation and optional psychological counseling.
